Description
This square was named after F.D. Roosevelt, President of the United States from 1933 till 1945 and is marked by a commemorative plaque at the corner of József Attila Street on the wall of the Ministry of the Interior. At the beginning of the 19C, the square was used as a marketplace. At each end of the square there are two matching statues commemorating István Széchenyi and Ferenc Deák. This extremely busy square is used by vehicles crossing the bridge to or from Buda.
